Hastelloy X is a strong nickel-based alloy used in various applications like gas turbine engines, jet engines, industrial furnaces, and chemical processing. It’s known for its ability to withstand high temperatures up to 2200°F (1200°C).
In gas turbines, ASTM B435 Hastelloy X Cold Rolled products are used for parts like flame holders, spray bars, and combustor cans. It’s also used in aircraft components such as tailpipes and afterburners, as well as in cabin heaters.
Hastelloy X, designated as ASME SB435, is favored for its excellent strength at high temperatures and can be easily shaped and welded manually or automatically.
This alloy, also known as DIN 2.4665 Hot Rolled products, is highly resistant to corrosion, heat, and oxidation. It can endure different environments, including those with oxygen or reducing gases.
Hastelloy UNS N06002 Products are valued for their strong build, corrosion resistance, precise dimensions, and other qualities. For more details about the uses and comparative corrosion resistance data of Hastelloy X Surface Cold products, please contact us or visit our Hastelloy X Tube page.
