Titanium Grade 4 (Werkstoff NR. 3.7065) is renowned for its exceptional strength among titanium grades, with a minimum yield strength of 480 MPa (70 ksi). It maintains good cold formability but has reduced ductility. This grade is highly resistant to corrosion, and corrosion fatigue, and provides good strength.
Common forms include seamless and welded pipes, tubes, bars, wires, sheets, plates, forgings, pipe fittings, and flanges. Its superior properties make it suitable for demanding applications, such as surgical hardware.
